June 18, 2015
55 contemporary and modern art galleries from Belarus, Denmark, France, Georgia, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Ukraine, United Kingdom, will fill the 15000 m2 of the Lithuanian Exhibition and Congress Centre Litexpo.
A novelty of ArtVilnius’15 is a guest country which is Ukraine at this year’s event. ArtVilnius’15 will present works of contemporary artists of the strongest art galleries. ARTSVIT gallery is the only one which is not based in Kyiv but in Dnipropetrovsk.
ARTSVIT gallery debuts at Art Vilnius with artworks by an artist from Lviv – Kinder Album. ‘War. Personal (Transcription)’ is a very personal diary created by an artist Kinder Album only for herself. As well as the phenomenon Kinder Album, that exists on the Internet anonymously, the project consists of one person’s private thoughts and experiences, but doesn’t have any relation to a concrete author. The project belongs to no one and to all together at the same time, so it might be described as the collective unconscious.
Hypertrophied, almost caricature Kinder Album’s manner perfectly describes ourselves in real life, in which we are absolutely vulnerable. However, artist’s heroes have to undress to show their sensitivity and vulnerability. And it works like a mirror, when each of us has to come and find ourselves.

The works from several series – ‘War. Transcription’ and ‘The Blog’ – determine people’s places and positions in the country in which the war has begun. Despite the wave of patriotism, unity and brotherhood, which unites Ukraine, between war and personal, we often choose the last one.
26 works on paper by Kinder Album will be presented in a project. Installation of 30-meter roll is among these works. Kinder Album’s artworks will also be exhibited in ARTSVIT gallery after the end of Art Vilnius’15.
